Taking the Course

About the Author:

As a teenage author, I am well aware of the struggles teenagers have on a daily basis. Taking the Course is meant to be an insight into the teenage mind, centered around the game of golf. Not only was my book written by a teenager, it was mainly edited by teenagers as well. If you would like to see what we are capable of, I encourage you to pick up a copy and find out.

A based on a true story written by a teenager about growing up and golfing on a high school team in New York City. Follow Logan Moten as he tries to group together teenagers from all walks of life around the seemingly unpopular (for his high school) game of golf. To complicate things, he develops a crush on one of the girls on the team and he enlists the help of his best friend, Blake, who has girl troubles of his own.
The teenage boys and girls that make up the Theodore Roosevelt golf team have a combined zero games of match experience. Led on by the affable Coach Brady, the team struggles to get started, although they do enjoy some good times off the course. The fun ends when a player goes missing, sending the team into chaos. Logan and his crush Samantha take control of the search efforts but time runs short as their despair increases. Will Logan find himself and his friend with enough time to save the season?
